ABOUT: Durban University of Technology (DUT), was established in 2002 as a merger between Technikon Natal and ML Sultan Technikon.  This Instituttion is  located in Kwa-Zulu Natal. It has four campuses in Durban and two in Pietermaritzburg.

Before you apply to DUT you should have the following;

  1. Proof of payment of your application fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
  2. Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants
  3. Exam Results:Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
  4. Remember you will need an email address when applying either online or in a hard copy . Note that the following systems do not accept emails from some of the universities: Hotmail, Webmail, Ymail, Outlook and Live. It is advisable to create and use a Gmail address for the application.

29 July 2019 (Clinical Technology and Medical Laboratory Sciences)
14 August 2019 (Child and Youth Care)
15 August 2019 (Chiropractic)
30 August 2019 (Radiography and Homeopathy)
31 August 2019 (Journalism, Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics and Emergency Medical Care)
20 September 2019 (Dental Technology)
30 September 2019 (all other programmes)

Application Fees:

  • R220 (SA citizen)
  • R275 (International student)
  • R440 (Late application fee for SA citizens)
  • R550 (Late application fee for international students)

Durban University of Technology required students to write NBTS Test before they can apply
