Before you apply to TUT you should have the following;

  1. Proof of payment of your application fee(compulsory for SA and International applicants)
  2. Certified copy of your ID document(ID document compulsory for SA citizens – your application cannot be processed without a certified copy of your ID and Passport Number for International Applicants
  3. Exam Results:Final Grade 12 results (if available). Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12) are very important for your application. Thus, have it on hand.
  4. Remember you will need an email address when applying either online or in a hard copy . Note that the following systems do not accept emails from some of the universities: Hotmail, Webmail, Ymail, Outlook and Live. It is advisable to create and use a Gmail address for the application.

  • A non-refundable fee of R240 for application, and certified copies of your identity document, Senior Certificate/National Senior Certificate and all other relevant documents must accompany the application.
  • The application fee can be deposited beforehand at: ABSA BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER: 04 000 0003 In the Reference column, please fill in your identity number. NB: Do not use this account number for any further payments.

  • Late applications will be considered only if there is space available in the programmes concerned. TUT can accommodate only a limited number of students per programme.​
